With special guest:

Simon Turner’s book Out on a Limb is refreshingly plain speaking. To read the book is like sitting down with a mate who has some important, perhaps life-changing, information to share. Using language we can all relate to, Simon takes us through the jungle that confronts a father at the gates of a Family Law dispute with the mother of their children.

Simon discusses what he describes as the three golden rules that were passed on to him informally by a Family Court Judge in an Art Gallery rather than a court room. Based on these golden rules Simon gives some invaluable ideas about how a dad can give himself the best chance of continuing to parent his child after a separation or divorce.

When Simon Turner talks to Dads on the Air we get to know the person with all these insights on life. Simon has not written a legal treatise, he shows us a way forward that is practical, and down to earth. Acting on Simon’s advice can reduce legal fees and avoid a lot of distress for both mums and dads at a difficult time in their lives.

Make sure you tune in to hear this fresh perspective on an age-old problem.

Simon Turner

Simon Turner is currently a registered political lobbyist in the state of Queensland. His background is that after obtaining formal qualifications including a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Queensland College of Art at Griffith University and a Master of Education (Honours) in Indigenous Early Childhood from the University of New England in Armidale he established the Woolloongabba Art Gallery where he was curator and director. He lived and worked in the Indigenous community for many years.

The birth of his son resulted in a change of direction in Simon’s life. When he found himself having to fight to see his child he refocussed on his priorities. Simon is a single father who found out some golden rules that helped him and which can undoubtedly help others.
